So for my birthday in September, my sister gave me tickets for us to go to the Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, Oregon. We have been a couple times before, and this time we saw My Fair Lady and it was awesome. Caesar came with us to Oregon because neither one of us wanted to be without Evie for a couple days. It was so much fun...we got to walk around downtown, get some tasty food, and Caesar watched Evie while Meg and I went to the play. It was Evie's longest road trip by a long shot (and first time out of state), and she did so well. We drove there on Wednesday night while she was sleeping, so that helped a lot.
Silly, sleepy baby rolling around on the hotel bed.
Our amazing lunches in downtown Ashland, and me and Megan found one of these I-can't-remember-what-they're-called-viewing-things in an antique shop.
She was getting a little antsy on the way home so we gave her one of her teething cookie things. Messy.
Ah, fall. My favorite. (Til winter, then that will be my favorite. Then spring. But summer is almost never my favorite now that I'm out of school year round. No school was the only thing summer had going for it as far I'm concerned.)
Cali ALWAYS photo bombs.
"Ooh. A leaf!"
"I should eat it. Tasty!"
Painting fun...

So squishy and sweet.

Oh and here's my finished quilt! On my way to having a whole stack.

Standing up all by herself! Just for a second, but still. Also, when we are holding her hands to help her stand, if you put a ball in front of her she toddles around kicking it. So cute. And hard on my back having to bend over following her around holding her up, but mostly cute.

Busy Baby

She really like knocking things over. It took awhile to teach her that...I used to build towers, knock them over and then clap and smile and now she knocks them over and laughs herself. :)

She's totally going to skip crawling. She can skootch around on her belly but she is really not fond of it. She'd much rather stand up holding my hands and wobble around than crawl.

Just finished the top of a new quilt. I'd love to have a nice little stack of quilts in my living room to use as throws during cold mornings....Evie really likes all the different patterns on her quilt, so I think she will like this one too.
She had just woken up here. Still all sleepy eyed.
And this isn't a very good picture but we were having so much fun...every time I laughed she just cracked up so we both laid there giggling. My silly baby.

Sweet Potatoes! She sure loves her food.

We keep the toys in the living room in this big basket. Evie really likes having the basket right next to her so she can dig around and get what she wants.

Although what she wants is usually her Grandma's wireless mouse. We turn it off and let her click the buttons, but she's not allowed to put it in her mouth so when she starts to we put a hand in her way and say no. She gets it, but it makes her grumpy, which I hate to say is adorable. See below.

Pumpkin Patch

Just watching a little Elmo on the iPhone....
Four generations
First pumpkin patch visit! This makes it look like she's not two feet tall yet, but she is really like 25" I think...
This kid is cool.
Some of the animals Evie got to see for the first time. There were also some goats and sheep.
Hanging out with the pumpkin we picked out.

She kept trying to pull the pumpkins into her lap to play with.

Laughing with her daddy.

Also, we went to a wedding last night for my friend Chrissy and her now-husband Eric...the picture we took with them on Caesar's phone was blurry :( but it was the most beautiful wedding! We had such a great time and I'm so happy for them. Congratulations!
