Cheerios

I just noticed there is a pretty high percentage of poorly-lit, kinda grainy iPhone photos. Oops.

A rare shot....she much prefers being on her feet.

The girl can glare. To be fair, we had been out and about for awhile and she was really tired.
This is what happens after Evie's first trip to the craft store. Soon, I'll have her begging to go to get crafty stuff. Look out Caesar!
The first and last time I took Cali and Evie to the park together by myself. Let us simply say that it was not so much fun.

Welcome back rain!

We have introduced Cheerios. She loves them. And I have a whole new appreciation for them since they kept her busy long enough for me to make a pie! (Yesterday. It's gone now.)

8 months old

Cali can climb trees...
And so can Evie! (Ok, maybe with a bit of Grandad's help.)
Walk, walk, walk, walk, walk.
High Five!
There was so much pretty moss by the tree roots lately, so I brought out the little clay shell cottage I made for some pictures.
We were playing on the floor and Apollo just came and plopped himself right in Evie's lap. Good thing she's pretty gentle with the kitties. So far.

Walk, walk, walk.

Eight months old....and so much personality. My little goofy girl.

Halloween

Her very first art project! She actually didn't care much about the paint, I just put some on her hand and then smeared it around on her pumpkin.
Our costumes...not that we went anywhere. We were gypsies. Or pirates. (Never let it be said that I can't throw together a costume!)

Mmm, orange.

And this is how we spend all our time. Bending over so Evie can walk everywhere. It DELIGHTS her and if you try to put her down, HOW DARE YOU PUT HER DOWN. She was WALKING.

And this is right now. So sweet. Oh, she made (what I'm calling) her first joke today. My mom was holding her and I reached for her and she would reach back and then at the last second turn away and bury her face in my mom's shoulder. Then peak out at me and grin. Over and over and over. She would reach for me KNOWING that she was going to pull away last second. "Psych!" Little Stinker.

Also, she is beginning to try high fives which is so cute cause it greatly amuses her when my hand hits hers. She's pretty fun around here.
